Part 1: Viv’s request

• Yumenosaki has a very strict rule of not allowing idols to start solo units (i.e. why Madara’s MaM didn’t count as a real unit because he was the only member)
  • This was a disadvantage for Lil, because he signed up for the idol course but isn’t interested or willing to join any current units or create a new unit with other students — he wanted to work as a solo idol (similar to HiMERU or Tatsumi in the past)
  • Viv was worried that Lil wasn’t going to pass this course simply because he was stubborn, so she tried to find a way to put Lil into a unit
• Later on, Viv got roped into the school drama with Eichi, the student council president, and wound up helping Trickstars win with UNDEAD and Ryuseitai to end Eichi’s strict reign over the student body.
  • As a thank you, Rei — UNDEAD’s leader, told Viv that he promises to do Viv a favor, that she could ask him to do anything and he will try and make her request come true
  • Viv, still concerned about Lil’s situation, decided to ask Rei if he could find a unit for Lil to join OR to let Lil join UNDEAD, to which he surprisingly obliged.

Part 2: Lil’s first meeting

• A few days later, Viv told Lil that she found a unit for him to work in, so that the staff and the student council wouldn’t be on his ass and officialize him as a real idol and not as solo unit, to Lil’s disagreement
• Rei finished all the paperwork for Lil to officially join UNDEAD, then introduced him to the rest of the unit as a new member
  • Lil wasn’t too happy about this new change — a little hesitant and disappointed even — but Viv said Rei was kind enough to allow Lil to join one of the supposedly top units at the time so the least he could do was be grateful
  • Koga, one of the first members of UNDEAD, wasn’t too happy with this new change. After Kaoru joining, he thought UNDEAD was already well off working as a 4-member unit
• Koga doubts Rei’s decision and Lil’s ability, to which Lil didn’t appreciate people who belittle her just because she’s new (deja vu from Akito much haha 🧍)
  • To prove his skill, he wanted to show Koga what he could bring to UNDEAD’s music — so he took out his bass and a guitar and told Koga to start playing something, showing him his personal musical talents
